101 Poems in 28 Days

winner winner A lot of people have asked me how I can write so many poems in such a short time. In part, it’s a gift for which I have always been grateful. In part, it’s recognizing that nearly anything can provide the spark of inspiration for a poem – or any piece of creative work really.

This chapbook will, when it is edited and pared down, be entitled ‘Nightly News‘ as the topics of the bulk of the work is drawn from recent news events. I found it fairly easy to read the news and then take a story, or a bit of a story, and create of poem from it. I’ve shared a couple of those poems here and as I edit the rest, will share more, I’m sure.

I urge you to look around you and take inspiration for everyday occurrences and items. The muse is happy to provide inspiration if you have your eyes open and welcome her with open arms.

Good luck and happy writing!
